So yesterday was my 20th birthday! Whoohoo! Haha. Anyway, it was a great day and I have some amazing friends that helped make it that way!

Phylicia came to Utah last weekend and it was a blast!! He hiked the Y and did all sorts of fun stuff!






















Kim and I finally got pumpkins and carved them!! I named mine Thomas, and she named hers Peter, not knowing the my dad's name is, in fact, Peter Thomas. So Ode to you, dad! Our pumpkins are named after you!

I recently became a mentor for the Safety Net Mentor Program. This is me and Noemi. She's 14. She's Argentinian. I think we're going to have a lot of fun and grow a lot together.

On the pathetic side of things..

So sometimes I am home alone while my roommates are at their house in Sandy or out on dates. When this happens, I tend to play dress- up. When it happens two nights in a row,I do a photoshoot. When it happens 3 nights in a row.... it gets really sad and I start editing my photos...and even worse posting them because I am THAT bored.






You can stop being my friend now if you want. I fully admit I am a loser.

Party Brazilian style

So tonight I went to my old roommate's birthday party. She's from Brazil, thus; Kim and I were the only ones there who didn't speak Portuguese. It was pretty fun. We love Fernanda!!

First hike of the semester: Silver Lake..almost.

So one of my favorite hobbies these days is hiking. It's free, it's fun, it's beautiful. Who could ask for more? So today I went on my first hike since I've been back. We went to Silver Lake. Although, we didn't actually make it to the lake. We ran out of daylight because we were so freaking lazy this morning. Anyway, it was still way fun and such. We will go back and make it to the lake one day.

Here's a close-up of my desk shelf thing. I did the flower arrangment myself. And I found my clock/picture frame on clearance. Then I have my Venitian glass rose and my hawaiian monkey, from Spencer and Jonothan respectively. Probably way more detail than you ever needed. But that's ok.

Foundations of Leadership!

So, again a little late, my first few days back in Utah, I had the privilege of being a peer mentor at BYU's FOL up at Aspen Grove in Provo Canyon. Basically it's a small camp for incoming freshman wanting to get involved in BYU activities. We did a lot of fun,team activities and had lessons focusing on the example of Jesus as the perfect leader.

Last week in Texas!

So this is about a week or so late, but we'll pretend it's not. So for my last week in Texas my best friend/roommate, Kim came to visit.

We went to the zoo and played in the park.

We practiced our modeling and went to six flags.

All in all we had a really great time. And because there was a mix up in our departure, I had some time at the end of it all to say some goodbyes which were incredibly more difficult than I had anticipated.

But now I'm back in Utah and looking forward to great school year at BYU!

New Hampshire Trip!

Candlestick bowling is one of my favorite things to do in New Hampshire. This is Leanne, Jonothan, me and Christine all at Leda Lanes having a blast!

This was about half way up Mt. Washington, the tallest point in New England. We got out of the car and went on a mini-hike on our way up.
